๐งบ Circus Laundry
Bonus
Beneath the dazzling spotlights of the Big Top, Noah found himself immersed in a world filled with breathtaking talent and inspiring individuals – from exquisite contortionists and fearless acrobats, to entrancing bellydancers and skilled jugglers performing gravity-defying acts on the high wire.
But not all of these talented people were performers; some contributed in other ways, such as musicians and singers who filled the air with enchanting melodies, accountants and lawyers handling the intricate paperwork, or painters and illustrators who breathed life into the circus posters that drew crowds from near and far.
Working tirelessly behind the scenes, Noah too played a role in making the circus magical. On a hot summer day, he found himself laboring diligently within the steamy confines of the laundry room. The heat was oppressive, causing beads of sweat to trickle down Noah's face as he waited for the clothes to dry.
Feeling overheated, Noah took his shirt off, trying to find some relief from the scorching warmth. As he did so, an irresistible urge to spin around came over him, and before he knew it, his torso turned nearly 360 degrees, as if trying to wring out every last drop of moisture from his sweating skin.
It was at this very moment when he was unexpectedly approached by the artist responsible for creating the vivid circus posters. The image of Noah's impressive twist had left such a lasting impression on her that she couldn't contain her excitement.
"Oh wow! Your flexibility is truly impressive," she commented, staring at Noah with a mixture of astonishment and admiration. "I can't believe you're practicing that here in the laundromat, all by yourself! If I were running this circus, I would definitely make sure you're all over the posters!"
Noah blushed furiously but managed to smile at her compliment. He could hardly believe what she was suggesting! Could he really become one of those mesmerizing performers under the Big Top?
"Please, give me a moment! I'll only be gone for a bit." In no time at all, she arrived back with her tablet and stylus pen, urging Noah to be patient for just a few more minutes. Noah felt truly honored by this request and was willing to endure the twist for an entire hour if that's what it took.
The final illustration was a mesmerizing anime-style fanart, skillfully drawn in vibrant colors and smooth strokes, capturing the essence of Noah's agility and the raw power of his twisted form. It was clear from the meticulous attention to detail that the artist had a deep passion for contortionist forms and the physicality they embodied.
"Just a moment," she bounced up and darted off. A few minutes later, she was back with a large print in her hands. "This is just my way of showing support, but could you do me a favor? Please promise me one thing – that someday I'll have the chance to create an actual poster for your show!"
Noah was genuinely surprised by the thoughtful gift he received, which not only awakened many thoughts but also fueled an intense urge within him to refine his skills even further. And maybe, just maybe, he will someday step onto the stage alongside some of the most talented contortionists he had always admired.
He carefully pinned the glossy print to the wall, serving as a constant reminder that "Everything is possible for the willing spine".
