🌵 The Wasped World

Chapter 2. Waistlands

Beyond the shimmering sands of the Great Desert lies a land of magic and wonder, where the hot sun beats down upon the parched earth. But for those who dwell in the Waistlands, this barren land is their home – and they have adapted to its harsh conditions in ways that are both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

The nomads of the wastes have developed a unique physique, with round bellies that seem capable of holding an endless supply of water, similar to camels. These caravaners are able to journey across the desert for days on end without so much as a sip of liquid, thanks to the impressive effects of their waist-cinchers that make them resistant to thirst and heat.

🌵 🌵 🌵

The less endurant travelers from other lands seek out the Waistlands' caravanserais, where they can quench their thirst in the shadow of the great dunes. There are those who have taken waist-cinching to new heights – the belted dancers. These performers captivate audiences with movements that seem impossible for humans, their big round bellies bobbing and weaving in a fluid dance that is both sensual and hypnotic.

Beware though, for not all who enter leave unchanged – some are lured into the hypnotic rhythm of the belted dance with a newfound obsession, always watching for the next chance to see those beautiful bellies in motion once again...

In the dimly lit rooms, youngsters with plump bellies gather to practice their skills – locals and foreigners love to trade secrets and inspire each other. But amidst the smoke and mirrors, there are whispers of darker forces at play: rumors of forbidden rituals that promise unparalleled waist-cinching powers... powers that may come at a terrible cost.

Those who seek such power must beware – one mistake and they may find their bodies separated completely in two halves, and only powerful mages would be able to create a phantom waist to put the two halves in sync again.

🌵 🌵 🌵

Those who dare to cross the Waistlands will find themselves surrounded by beauty – and danger. For this land is home not only to the nomads and belted dancers, but also to mythical creatures that lurk behind every tumbleweed: ifrits and genies, phantoms and demons.

But even among such perils, there are those who stand tall – the mages with their impressive physiques and incredible power. For these sorcerers, their big round bellies are a source of immense power, allowing them to harness the very elements themselves and protect their land from any foe that would dare challenge it. And in the face of such great strength and discipline, even the most fearsome beasts must bow before these mighty wizards.

The people of the Waistlands have found a way to thrive – for they know that their round bellies are not just a source of amazement, but also a symbol of hope and resilience in a desert that can be both harsh and wondrous.

So welcome to the Waistlands. May your belly be ever full, and your thirst always quenched – for here, beautiful big bellies rule supreme, and even the most impossible shapes can come true.

What do you think? 😄
It turns out that the concept is that the stomach, or maybe the whole human body, has some extraordinary properties. Which can be manifested by acting on the body. Tightening the waist, bending the spine, pressing objects into it, twisting it. I wonder how many ideas people can come up with to accomplish with themselves.
So cute boy :)
Lovely , gorgeous costume 💕
Omg! I absolutely love your mystifying, beautiful art! Never stop your creavity. 🤩
Absolutely love how his organs have been compressed into his lower half by the cinching -- hopefully someone gives him regular ointment rubdowns to go along with further cinching :)

Not as long, but a great sequel - which is arguably better. The audience loves the first movie, just give them more of what they want. I love addressing the specific ways each group does contortion. It's like an arms race and certain techniques would be tantamount to national secrets, or even WMDs, in some cases.

Bad writers just tell you a thing exists, a good writer makes you care about how it fits in the story and what it can be used for, and in a way that allows the reader to drop themselves into someone else's shoes and really, satisfyingly, answers "what if...". It's so effing good! Not just explaining a thing, but being able to pick a reader up and put them into someone else, with different needs and drives, and be able to be someone else for even a paragraph of description. Or worse, they'll create a character with a bunch of back story and affectations that have fuck all to do with living, literarily, into a new world.

I don't really like reading fiction - I'm way more happy reading manuals and stuff. I look forward to each and every story you put out. I love getting to live in Yunia, even in small bursts.
Thank you so much for reading! Very glad you enjoyed the different styles of contortion! :3 It took me years of development and discarding a lot of ideas that led nowhere but I think the final concept is finally starting to take shape. Better late than never, I guess.

The problem with arms race is that waist-cinching and contortion are not "really" weapons as they are useless against fellow humans (other than entertaining them). You can't save yourself from a blow by tugging the belt tighter and if your own attack involves flexibility that would probably only make it weaker. But in battles against evil spirits it's different. Who knows, maybe human bodies were actually designed to perform contortion as a weapon against some ancient evil forces. And then they lost their ways and the superpowers turned into mere entertainment or fetishes like it happened in our world ;D

Actually I took the idea of tight-belting to protect against evil spirits from some real world folklore, like, in some countries in the past people actually believed that if you go unbelted then you make yourself open to the devil and might even get possessed, except their belts weren't that tight :P

I'm very glad you enjoy these small stories about Yunia, in fact all my stories are standalone so I believe you can read any of them without reading the rest.
