๐ฒ The Legend of The Rubber Dragon
Happy New Year of the Snake!! ๐๐๐
Soon on VHS! (Very Hot Spines)
Lin is small for his age but has an unyielding spirit. He lives with his family in a remote village nestled deep within the bamboo forests. From an early age, he is displaying a remarkable ability to bend his limbs into unnatural positions without breaking them. Once, as a child, he surprised everyone during the game of hide-and-seek when he squeezed himself inside a tiny basket that could barely contain even half of a boy his age!
News of his talent reach Madame Wei, the last living master of the ancient art of Rubber Dragon Kung Fu. She travels all the way to the bamboo forest just to see the gifted child. After testing Lin's abilities firsthand, she decides to settle down in the village and take him under her wing...
Madame Wei is no ordinary woman – her body is impossibly flexible like rubber itself. There is only one other person who possesses such great control over their body. The evil sorcerer, Hung Long. He wields his power ruthlessly, turning straight bamboo stalks into twisted knots, uglifying the forest with his wicked magic and making it hard to navigate its paths.
The only way to defeat Hung Long once and for all is by outbending him in his own game. Madame Wei has spent years trying to achieve this feat herself, but her youth is fading away while Hung Long seems to become younger and stronger thanks to his dark powers. Now she puts her hopes on Lin, his natural gift combined with rigorous training holding the key to defeating the bamboo-bending tyrant!
They practice every day in the outskirts of the village, using heavy rocks, buckets, tree branches and anything else they can find to stretch Lin further than ever thought possible. Soon, Lin's body becomes so supple and elastic that he can effortlessly fold himself into the most incredible positions, contorting his body in ways that make even Madame Wei gasp in wonder!
But Hung Long refuses to let his talents grow unchallenged. Once or twice a week, he appears at the edge of the forest, challenging young Lin to a bending contest. The villagers gather around, watching as the two incredible figures clash in an epic battle of flexibility, twisting and folding until Lin runs out of breath and stamina.
Despite losing each time, Lin manages to hold his ground a little longer each time, surprising everyone with his resilience and determination. Finally, after three long years of daily stretching, Madame Wei can feel that something profound has changed within her student. His movements become almost magical, seamless and effortless like water flowing around a big rock without giving a thought about its size and weight.
It's time for the final showdown against Hung Long. This time, there is no doubt in Lin's eyes, only pure focus and confidence. He moves gracefully, weaving through Hung Long's attacks, countering them with unexpected twists and folds. One by one, Hung Long's moves are countered, leaving him bewildered and frustrated.
With each bend, Lin grows more and more fluent, finally reaching a point where he does something the sorcerer can't wrap his mind around: he folds himself back and forth at the same time and wraps his legs around himself so tightly that Hung Long stares in disbelief before crumbling under Lin's pressure and running away in tears and shame, never to be seen again.
The whole village erupts in cheers as the bamboo forest regains its natural beauty and peacefulness. Madame Wei smiles proudly, knowing she has passed her knowledge onto worthy hands. As for Lin, he keeps training diligently, exploring the endless well of possibilities and sharing his gift with everyone who comes to learn from him.
