Was thinking how to vary the contortions in my gallery because I think they're pretty repetitive when you look at the whole gallery at once.
So I got this variation of the Kandasana, it's a posture in Yoga and the word translates as "the bulb posture" (if I remember correctly). The Kandasana is normally done from the Lotus position (yet another botanic name) by lifting both feet upwards to the stomach level, this way – can you believe it – you can get your heels push into your own tummy! I'll need to draw it sometime too, but this time I wanted to experiment with the pose a little, since it's new to me, and maybe lift the feet a bit further and fix them against the sides of the body.
I must say this position looks a bit painful even to me, maybe just because I'm not used to it yet, but at the same time it kind of reminds me of the Soft Bone Kung Fu from the martial arts movies and I can totally imagine a trader like this in such a movie. This posture is also humanly doable and I've even seen in a couple of times on Youtube, including the Incredible yoga girl, though this amount of control over the human body is pretty extraordinary.
