🍉 Diego and Lucas
In the world of melon magic, Diego and Lucas are two peas in a pod. As twins born to Melonie, the Melon Witch herself, they share an extraordinary connection that transcend ordinary sibling bonds.
From the day they hatched from their melon shells, these magical beings had mirrored reflections of each other. Their resemblance was so uncanny, it made even their mother's eyes twirl with delight as she watched them play in their enchanted melon patch.
But what made them truly unique were not just the magical properties that came with being children of the Melon Witch. It was the fact that they were the first twins created from melon seeds, and thus, their father was literally a melon itself. This made Diego and Lucas more than just identical; they were two halves of the same melon. As such, their mother found it increasingly difficult to tell them apart, even with the help of a magic mirror.
However, one day, a twist of fate intervened. Her boys, filled with an insatiable curiosity and boundless energy, stumbled upon the art of contortion during one of their many explorations of the enchanted forest. This newfound love for bending in amazing ways changed everything.
When Melonie saw her boys trying to see how far they could bend their bodies, she couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. This was exactly she had been waiting for. Not only because she loved contortion, but because she realized how she could finally tell her beloved sons apart.

One early morning, Melonie had an idea that share shared with her boys like it was just a fleeting thought, sparked by their exercise.
"Diego, your backbends are getting so much better, and Lucas is doing great with his feet behind his head. Imagine if you could mirror each other's poses but bending in opposite directions?"
The boys ran to hug her, excited by the thought. From that moment on, they practiced non-stop, eager for the day they could finally pin down their perfect mirror poses.
Melonie chuckled playfully, admiring their progress. She could easily spot Diego's tight backfolds and Lucas' amazing front-curls from a mile away now, never failing to know who was who.
But she didn't realize how tricky they truly were. Every morning, Diego and Lucas would switch roles, spending the day perfecting the skill that wasn't their own from the day before, until they trained themselves to bend equally far in both directions.
The only rule between them was to always remember which day it was, so they wouldn't accidentally bend their backs the same way on the same day.

No truth can stay secret forever, and the twins decided to throw a big show to get their mom's opinion on some new flexible poses they learned.
"Mommy, look!" Diego exclaimed as he stretched his shoulders through his legs and flexed his arms on the other side like a muscleboy. "And I can stay like this for a whole minute!"
"Oh wow, Diego!" Melonie said in awe. "You look like a hero there. And you, Lucas? "She turned to her other son. "Can you top that?"
Lucas giggled. "Can't top but can bottom!" he said, his torso suddenly curling gracefully in a wrong direction. Before Diego could hiss at him, Lucas packed himself into a perfect tight triplefold between his brother's spread legs, putting both his thumbs up with a wide grin.
"And I can nap like this!" He added with a giggle, only realizing his big mistake as he saw his mom's widened eyes.
"Uh-oh..." Lucas mumbled, looking up at Diego with a grin but his eyes full of worry. "Sorry, bro... I think I just gave us away..."
"I'll punish you later..." Diego hissed through his grin in return.
Since they never had a dad, the boys would sometimes give each other playful spankings when they thought their mom was upset with them. And they both knew this was one of those times.
Melonie looked at them for a moment, her mouth open in surprise, then covered it with her hand and burst out laughing. "Boys!" Her voice finally broke through her laughter. "You're too much!"
She could only shake her head in bewilderment, the thought of her boys being able to bend in both directions instead of just one made her too proud to be angry.
"Good job, boys," she said with a sigh. "You've both put in so much effort into your trickery, you deserve to be treated. From here on out, feel free to pretend to be each other any time you wish, I'll just play along with your game, heheh."
🍉 🍉 🍉
Since then, Diego and Lucas never tried to deceive their mom again, always being clear about who is who. Melonie couldn't stop admiring, offering her help or a warm smile whenever they needed it during their days of stretching and flexing.
And Melonie knew that she was grateful for the wisdom her boys taught her: never try to guess who's who, because they could be clever and switch places every day, and learn both poses that you thought only one of them could do, making it hard to tell them apart just by their poses.
But sometimes they do get born side by side. This could explain certain things. There's a belief that every person has a twin somewhere else in the world, but perhaps in Yunia it turns out to be true.
Moreover, something nobody can explain is that twins also tend to have the same names - if someone manages to find their twin, they will even have the same name.
This might be an ancient curse, an ancient blessing, or just a weird ancient fact to deal with :D
Also, by the way: Could you share all those little portraits you made of your OCs as thumbnails for their tag sections? I dont think you ever posted them but many of them are so cute, I'd love to see them full size. Thanks in advance! Love to see you're posting classic contortion pictures again :)
About the portraits, you just gave me a nice idea that the bigger pictures could be used on the individual character pages, so I'm totally going to implement this. At first I planned to write a tale about each character like I did for Yasha, but seems it will require ages to do for so many characters...
Awesome work as always!!
But Diego and Lucas could totally rock as teenage bodybuilders, would be cool to see what they'd look like in such a scenario, all buffed up and probably sporting some even more amazing flexibility 😁
Soon I'm gonna post a pic of them doing something that I think might pass as a passive contortion pose! So I'm excited that you're interested to see it 😀
I recall the times many years ago, when most comments I received were like "it's painful to look at" or "I have no idea what's going on". I'm glad that today my works bring more joy because it's always been my goal from the start!
