🎱 Wasped Armorer

(By anonymous stableboy. Oail on canvais. 1869.)

This artwork found in a merchant's house depicts Theren, a very famous "hourglass" figure in Beltimore, the city known for its tight-belted fashion.

As an armorer, Theren became a Leonardo da Vinci of waist cinching, creating devices well known for their perfect ratio between pressure and safety. Like a proud engineer, always testing all his creations on himself first, needless to say he developed one of the smallest waists in the city.

His greatest invention was the steel cincher that was both small and thin, and after applying it using some oil lubrication, it was possible to wear any decorative belts or jewelry without fear that it would explode while laughing or getting slapped on the butt.

That brought the fashion in Beltimore on a whole new level, people couldn't thank Theren enough for the fact they almost couldn't breath anymore but at least they looked great, decorated like princes!

To keep himself in good shape during such extreme constriction, Theren frequented the local taverns, not to develop a beer belly but to workout as a pole dancer, let the fluids in his body circulate. However, that didn't save him from adding a beer mug or two to his bodily fluids and the lower belly did grow a bit over the years.

Questioning if he needs to consider a diet at some point, Theren was relieved to learn that many people in the city actually find his big lower belly to be very attractive, in fact they were drooling buckets when his round belly was in sight!

Furthermore, some youths followed his ideal in attempts to get a similar shape. You could hear their drunken shouts at night all over the city and hard slaps on their fat asses from the guards.

Unlike them, Theren tried to keep himself slim... always minding the golden ratio in everything.
