🐓 Feathered Snake

Once upon a time in ancient Mesoamerica, there was a civilization known as the Maya. The Maya were an intelligent people who had a deep connection to their gods. One god they worshiped was Quetzalcoatl, also known as Feathered Snake.

It is said that Quetzalcoatl would visit them frequently in the form of a boy wearing feathers. This boy was very special because he could perform beautiful contortions and bend his body into amazing shapes.

The Maya were fascinated by this boy's abilities and called him the Golden-Boned Boy because gold was a material that was firm, yet malleable, and was highly valued by their civilization.

The Golden-Boned Boy taught them many things including how to use their bodies in ways they never thought possible. He showed them how to perform contortionism, which allowed them to bend and twist their bodies into incredible positions as a form of art.

The Maya were amazed to discover these abilities, and they soon made them important part of their culture. They would gather to watch their contortionists with great admiration, and many people came to see them from far and wide. Feathered Snake became a symbol of hope for the Maya, as he showed them that anything was possible to the willing spine.

The legacy of Quetzalcoatl lives on today in the art of contortionism, which continues to be an important part of many cultures around the world. His teachings have inspired countless people to push their bodies beyond what they thought was possible, and his impact can still be felt as a legacy of the Maya civilization.

What do you think? 😄
Wonderful job! I also love your SWB
Sorry I forgot what is SWb and Google didn't help 😅 I tried "swb anime characters" and still got nothing but "subjective well-being"...

If that something about lacking limbs as I remember, this boy wasn't supposed to lack anything, I was just trying to make a "simple portrait" like a study of a character painted over a blank canvas... The effect is not 100% but still was fun :)
I love these re-inventions where you rewrite known myths or characters in a contortion-related point of view!
Thank you so much!! I remember making more of this in the past so wanted to try again :D I think for a contortion fan it's also a good way to study the history or famous tales, by adding the "contortion interest" to them ;D
Amazing pose , and sucha sweet cutie 💕
Thank you so much!! 😊 Extreme contortion makes some amazing combinations with adorable characters somehow... XD
Shifty
Most of all I love his snakelike eyes! And blending of hair and feathers!!!! now this is something which I would pursue sometime in future, because feather/hair blend is something super unique! and beautiful.

And ohh colors are in another dimension entirely... yes yes yes!!!! Also his muscles are so tender and strong.
Just imagined his legs are all snakelike including texture but he behaves just like boy contortioning around ie stone column as even kings are opening mouths in awe!
Haha, it's indeed funny how the small features can make him look so non-human but still enjoyable. And I agree, it's an interesting thought to imagine his legs being snake-like. I haven't thought of that before, but it makes sense since he has feathers on his head. It's fun to imagine him doing a pole dance around a stone pillar, that would be something to behold! :D
So cute! Nice fit body too <3
Yeah and it's funny how the pose contributes to it XD

"Contortion makes you look younger!"
"How so?"
"*bends back in half, getting a whole head shorter*"
"Wow, you were right!!"

Feel like you're doing something new? You are the most prolific and gifted artist I have ever seen in this particular area of contortion and it has been a pleasure to watch you continue to create.

Your loyal fan for many years
棒极了! 我总是乐于尝试新事物,同时仍然坚持我喜欢的东西——柔术。 但与此同时,我知道这不仅仅是关于我的。 它是关于创造一些能激励他人的东西。

感谢您关注我的作品这么久!

Excellent! I'm always open to trying new things while still sticking to what I love - contortion. But at the same time, I know it's not just about me. It's about creating something that inspires others.

Thank you for following my work for so long!
C'est une très belle composition, le dessin est superbe mais incomplet . Le garçon mérite d'être représenté complètement

It is a very beautiful composition, the drawing is superb but incomplete . The boy deserves to be portrayed completely

Oh, that's because I was trying to create a different style here - a portrait on an empty canvas or something. But I agree, I hope we haven't seen the last of this character or the Mayan theme. In the meantime, I'm really glad you liked it! :D
Muscles are perfect!!!
Very glad you enjoyed!! 😁

I've re-read the story a couple times, and I can't tell if he's supposed to be like Nuv or Jack. He doesn't look right if you were going to make him limbless... Then I saw your above comment. It's a credit to your work that my brain jumps to "limbless" before "basically a bust portrait". Hahahahaha... You've got me thinking zebras when I hear hooves now.
No, I was just trying to make a portrait/composition of sorts, using his arm as a picture frame :D
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
